One of the project work packages aims to plan and implement six training actions that will help to update the horizontal competences of the staff members working at the LLL centres, as well as to foster the competences and know how of the academic staff that will be in charge of developing future courses.

These six training actions will use both training and a 'train of trainers' approach. The main objective of this is that the first three training modules are targeted to staff members working in the LLL centres who will see that their horizontal competences are strength by this first set.

The second round of three training modules will be targeted to academic staff members who will learn how to better develop courses that are oriented to potential students coming from the labour market. The academics that will attend these 3 modules will have to replicate the knowledge to other academics in their home institutions.

The first training module one was held in Rabat on March 2015 being the main topic How to Conduct Need Analysis taking into account the market needs, which aims to learn the following:
•    how to set up a sound needs analysis
•    how to identify and map the LLL key stakeholders, and
•    identify strategic considerations on a macro and microeconomic level

Several tools on how to conduct such analysis and how to define courses were presented and put into practice during the groupal exercises.

Finally, the partners could check some good examples of FH Joanneum University.

The first training module was delivered in full by FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences.
